The area offers a variety of impressions, as here you can bask in the hot sun, explore the sea and get to know the traditions and culture of the Montenegrins.

The coastline is magnificent, featuring a combination of rocky cliffs, settlements, the blue sea, and lush green areas. Montenegro stretches along the Adriatic Sea coast and is surrounded by the beautiful Balkan mountains. The country stretches over more than 13 thousand kilometres. From May to September, people come here to relax, hike, travel by sea, and explore the bays.

Unique coastline

Every holidaymaker is eager to visit the excursion programs. Group sea trips are inexpensive and allow you to see many areas. The Adriatic's azure Riviera is as much for its location on pebble beaches as it is for exploring the waterways. The clear waters play beautifully in the sun, and the nearby towns and villages delight the eye with their originality and charm.

Boka Kotor Bay is one of the most attractive destinations, and a joyful cruise along the bay can last all day. In Kotor, you can visit sacred sites, swim throughout the bay area and explore small seaside towns including Risan, Perast, Herceg Novi, and Tivat.

Depending on the chosen program, additional program points may be included, such as exploring the island of the Virgin on the reef or the islands of Mamula, swimming in the grotto, etc. The Bay of Kotor is excellent in the evening, so the Blue Grotto can be excluded. When you leave after lunch, you can enjoy the lights of the coastal towns and the sunset in the bay.

Which areas are exciting?

It is worth trying out the following destinations for relaxation and to visit a range of attractions:

  • Kotor, the Bay of Kotor. The bay is very narrow, approximately 300 meters in width, and high mountains surround it. The town itself is fascinating as it is interspersed with columns, Venetian palaces, medieval buildings, and old squares lined with modern shops, cafés, and bakeries.
  • Herceg Novi, the fortress island of Mamula. Near Herceg Novi is a small island that is almost entirely occupied by a fortress. The building dates back to the 19th century, stands 16 meters in height, and has a diameter of 200 meters. The sea surrounds it, and from the top, there is an excellent view of the sea and the land. One side of the island consists of rocks, the other is covered with aloes, cacti, and shrubs. A viewing platform can be accessed via a suspension bridge. Herceg Novi itself is a quiet resort surrounded by green spaces.
  • The Blue Grotto. The size of the caves allows you to swim in by boat, an area of about 300 m². In fine weather, you can see the refraction of the sun's rays, which creates a spectacular blue colour. The cave looks attractive and remains clean, so tourists are often encouraged to take a swim.
  • Budva, via. St. Nicholas, Budva, Hawaii, and Sveti Stefan. The area is attractive with clear azure waters. They often get to these parts by boat to enjoy the views, relax on less crowded beaches with pebbles or large stones, and dive off the rocks. You can also find beautiful panoramas and small churches.
  • Petrovac, two islands, Katich and Saint Week. There are many islands in the country; the islands of Katic and Holy Week are in the bay of Petrovac. Some experienced swimmers get there by sea, while others can rent a boat, such as a catamaran. You can visit them by reaching the outskirts of the village. The islands are rocky and do not offer recreational facilities with accommodations; there is a small church on the island, which is visited during Holy Week. The islands are attractive, offering beautiful views and providing the perfect opportunity to take memorable photos.
  • Barska Riviera, the royal beach. The place is clean and picturesque, offering the opportunity to relax in solitude. The coastline stretches for 46 km and has a rugged topography.
